Back to Introduce Yourself forum
Hello everyone!
I am Alexander from Ukraine. I am 29 at the moment. I try to learn JAVA but I think that I was starting it too late. I was too lasy before for learning programming, although I alway think it very interest.
P.S. Sorry for my bad English.
Hi alex, I am smwentum. You are never too old to learn programming. Welcome to the Abbey!
Hi smwentum! Thanks. I glad to join to You.
Hi Alexander!
By coincidence I myself was 29 when I learned java to switch to it professionally. It was not too easy and it took significant time - and getting hired also took several months of hopeless interviews etc... But I succeeded :)
So I believe you can also do this (though if java is your first programming language it will be slightly more harder). Moreover that your code looks sane and correct enough which is quite important. You seem to know and use general rules about how to style your sources and how to organize your program - so you already have a great advantage! :)
