Back to Introduce Yourself forum
Hi everyone! I'm Patrick and I'm a 16 year old going into my Junior year of highschool. I started programming 2 years ago in Java and I have recently transferred to using Python. I also enjoy doing lots of math, particularly contest math. I really like the Project Euler problems and have solved 111 of them. But as of now I am stumped by the remaining ones. I really enjoy this site and keep up the good work!
111 Project Euler problems at 16? Wow, that's impressive.
Extremely impressive as I myself just started programming when I was 16 - and now when I am twice older I have only about 40 at Project Euler :)
Though probably this means you will find exercises here bit too simple or too dull for you :)
I feel envious to you, Patrick, as starting programming was, perhaps, the happiest time for me. :D
Very cool Patrick :D
Hello Patrick! My evolution went in the reverse direction, from Python to Java. :)
I hope you're at the beginning of a long and glorious path! When I was 16, I programmed ridiculous programs in BASIC. Facepalm.

Hey Patrick, nice to see someone starting programming so early.
I only started programming full-time about six months ago, and I'm turning 25... so it feels like you've got a pretty big head start.
It sounds like you've got a pretty good idea of what you're good at, which gives you a leg up on moving forward in life.
I'm a fellow Python developer as well, although I'm still a beginner. If you'd like to drop me a line, please do!
